Hi,i would ask bout Solaris.Does Sun 5.9 similar with Solaris 9??
I want to try install Sun 5.9 but i dont have Solaris machine, can it work on common PC ?
Then where i can download the source ?
Thank you!!

5.9 is 9
They have builds for x86/x86-64.You need correct one.
You can't download source as such. What is open is at OpenSolaris.org. Might as well download the latest version of OpenSolaris 10. They have live cd's and install dvd's.
"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Since Solaris 9 builds for x86,then can i install solaris 9 on VMWare? And how the steps of installation?
Coz i've been installing Vista and Linux inside.
Actually,i'm gonna install ns2.1b5 (network simulator) on Solaris9 ,can it work for Solaris 10 too?
Thank's!

Install just like Vista or linux.
Might need a different network device or driver. Plenty of premade virtual machines already at vmware. Why bother installing one. Just download a premade one.

Search for opensolaris and solaris.
