Dear Sir's,

I am just a beginer of Sol. I have to install 4 applications (which I have in a CD) into the Sun server, When I switched on the server, it prompted for me to press ctrl+d, I pressed, then prompted me for single user mode password, I have entered the Root password & loged in as in single user mode. Now by ls command I am able to see the cdrom, I entered into cdrom (cd cdrom) but I am not able to see the contents of the CD. Please guide me.
Then I tried putting the CD in another server & copying from the server by using rcp command now I get a message "permission denied". Please note that I am not able to do telnet of FTP if I try these I get a message protoclo error::ffff:host connection closed ans permission denied.

Your help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jay,
