I am new at solaris and I am attempting an install of solaris 8 on my AMD XP1700PC.
My system boots fom CD, and carry's on OK until the reboot. I am running in command line mode as my Geforce 3 is not supported natively. After the reboot the system starts OK and goes through the disk setup then states that automatic setup of the disk can not be done and that i must manually set up my disk.
Having followed the prompts and completed this, the system says- initialisation, then displays a percentage scale across the screen and give a hash(#) prompt, BUT DOES NOTHING ELSE! WHY?
