INIT: Cannot create /var/adm/utmpx

On rebooting the os to run level 3, a message pops up and doesn't boot as shown down.
INIT: Cannot create /var/adm/utmpx
But iam able to enter into single user mode. if u have,please suggest any repair works. Thanks!

Hello,
Log in as single user and use the "fsck" command to check your disk and Let it run its magic. Hope this helps
P.S Anwser yes to the questions it ask you about your disk.

Thanks. But still iam not able to get into run level 3, even after running the fsck.The same INIT: error pops up. do u have any other suggestion?other than a fresh installation. thanks in advance.

Check that if /var is a separate file system that it can be mounted, quick test is to do a "mountall" while in single user mode and then compare what "mount" gives you what is in vfstab.
