Hi. Thanks for your time. I've been trying to open a remote session from a solaris server we have here in the office, into my windows PC.
I've already find a program that allows me to do so, XManager. The only problem is that i cannot configure correctly the remote host (solaris) to leave everything smooth and running.
This is what solaris requires:
For XDMCP connection to Sun Solaris 10
1. XDM Configuration
# /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -e [Enable]
2. Firewall (TCP/UDP Ports) Configuration
Open UDP port 177 from the PC to the remote host direction.
Open incoming TCP ports 6000~6010 from the remote host to your PC.
3. Reboot the remote host and start XmanagerI dont know how to do 1 & 2 :(, i've already opened port udp 177 for windows, but im totally clueless about the rest.
If posible would you mind giving me a step-by-step how to open such ports on solaris and if you could how to do #1??
thanks again

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
