I had Solaris 8 installed. And got CD of Solaris 9. How do I set to boot from CD to run the install?

type

reboot -- 'cdrom'
or when the machine is coming up, type [STOP]-A

then type

boot cdrom

at the prompt.

if you are installing on a pc with solaris x86 is it CTRL- BREAK to get to the ok prompt
