Sorry to bother, I am new to Solaris. I have one SunOS 4.6, tried to install Plextor Wide Ultra SCSI CD-ROM on it, but put bootable CD-ROM in tray and reboot. Nothing happened. Pls let me know how to install it.

After you put your CDROM to SCSI interface, you should assign at the CDROM using jumpers target 6 manually.(you can use this to count 6: 2^3=2^2+2^1+2^0)
CDROMs in Solaris are usually c0t6d0.
After reboot press STOP+A. You will get an ok prompt. Enter test-scsi and you will see information about all scsi devices, including CDROM. If you jumper CDROM correctly you will see you CD at c0t6d0, if not-so you are mistaken :) Try another jumper untill you will get success
After all at the command prompt press boot and you will continue booting with CDROM installed
