how to detect cdrom

OS: Win XP
CPU/Ram: 1.5GHz / 512MB

I need to install new Solaris to SUN sparcstation 20..the problem is, I can't boot from cd-rom..I suspect the cd-rom drive spoiled.

my question: how to detect the cd-rom drive is functioning or not?

I going to learn Solaris...

Have you tried to see if it is recognized while you are in Forth Monitor?
