I have installed Solaris 8 in a new hardisk in my 810 chipset PC. I have to run patch file which is in another Windows hardisk in the same machine. How to access the Windows hard disk from Solaris ?? I cannot copy the patch file to a floppy 'cause it is 5 MB.
How to set up Solaris to connect to internet ?
Can someone tell me a method for this ?? Thanks in advance

Lawrence

Hi Lawrence,

For connecting internet you have to give DNS names and your gateway.

Entering DNS : Use sys-config command
Entering gateway : Use # route add default

Regards,
Tharakesh
