Hello! I am running oracle 8i on solaris and i need to take a backup of all database files. This is the mapping of oracle folder... /dev/md/dsk/d82 35G 8.1G 24G 26% /oracle
but now obviously i cannot copy d82 as its mapped. so my question is...first how to find the mapping(v r using scsi) and second, how to copy these files...will the cp command work or is there any other command for the same? One more thing, can i copy these files remotely or to windows platform?
