Hi: Tape dive using: #touch /reconfigure #init 0 #shutdown power off all hardware. setup your tape drive check cable etc. power on. After that open your machine. login :su passwd: **** when you see your X-Window desktop you can see tapedrive icon. dblclick and use it... you must re-modify etc/vfstab. good luck:) Altan Elitok icq:54060404

Altan, When you do the #touch /reconfigure and then reboot the machine you mentioned having to re-modify /etc/vfstab. Why what is changed or what do you have to put in. I am having a problem with not being able to see my cdrom and got the same advice about the /reconfigure.
