Hi all,

As I new to Solaris, and I want to install the NIC on Solaris 8 for Intel. So could U please guide me how to do it step by step.
I have D-Link ethernet adaptor that exists in the compatibility list of solaris documentation.

Thanks in advance.

While System is booting it'll ask if you made any hardware changes. Press ESC.
Now you're able to add new hardware.
Solaris is scanning the sytem (Press one of the F-Keys - Solaris will tell you which one)
After system is scanned you'll see the new hardware in the hardware-tree.
Quit hardware diagnosis and system will booting up. Now you can use ifconfig to set it up.
