I just bought a ultra 5 on ebay. I install solaris 9 and everything work fine until I change the cable for the hard disk then it fail to boot up. My new to the UNIX environment, I really need you help on this.

Hello

If you change the 40 pin cable of SUN you must change and the configuration of your disk.
The Sun cable is special an the disk is configured in cable select mode. Try to use a 80 pin cable and put the disk in master socket of the cable.

Another advice for your solaris 9 you must buy memory, you need at least 256 MB.
