getting ultra 5 using solaris 9 online

I have an ultra 5 that I just installed solaris 9 and want to connect to the internet with. I am using road runner and a toshiba cable modem provided by time warner.I have no idea how to go about doing this and all the articles I have encountered( not many) about how to use dhcp are writtem more for sys. admins than for new guys like me. Could someone tell me how I could go about seeting this up to get it on line? Thanks for the help and your time.
