ftping from windows to Solaris 8

I am just trying to ftp from my windows to my solaris 8 box and it is not letting me?

any suggestions?

Check your /etc/inet.conf

Be sure the line containning ftp is not commented out .
Also check your /etc/services and see the port number

Go on your sun box and test your ftp by ftp localhost
