At present i don't know anything about logging ftp events. I know that logging needs to be enabled on the server and this is done in a config file, but don't know where this file is or what to put in it. I also need to know where the ftp log files are stored. I'm running solaris 8 at the moment. Also does the logging take place on the client side or the senting side.

Summary: you might need to add the tcsh to /etc/shells.. that controls what shells are allowed to login although the ftp log might have error saying something similar to like "incorrect shell" for that problem...
