Here is a question about Solaris 7(Sun Sparc, with the newest patches installed) on Sun E3500 machine, My question is : When the machine is running, I occasionally touch the up-right-side "power" key on the keyboard, then the system ask me to select one of the options: suspend, shutdown or cancel. Now I wanted to follow it's instruction, but I can do nothing, because the keyboard and mouse does't work at all. Although I can "stop-A" to OK status, yet I can't type "go" to resume. I tried two machines, the same happened. I don't know if it is a system bug? What can I do now? Is there any method to disable the power key on Sun Keyboard? Pls help me.

Thank you!

Reply: (edit)

rename the file in
/usr/openwin/bin/speckeysd to speckeysd.old then
reboot the system. So the
power key will be disabled
