Floppy drive issues

Can i copy data from win xp to solaris. i have downloaded driver for solaris on winxp and want to install them on solaris.

you will have to mount the floppy, maybe as a dos, and copy into solaris' unix file system. cheers !!! aman

if it's a dos disk,
then put it into your machine
type: volcheck
cd /floppy ls
You should see the volume label of the disk as a directory. cd into it, then copy whatever you want to wherever.

copy the files from windows to floppy then insert hte disk into solaris machine 1) type volcheck See the light of floppy disk is glowing if it glows then its ok 2) give the command cp /floppy/floppy0/*.* / it will copy all the files from ur floppy to the / root.
