FDISK problem after Solaris Intel Instal

hi ,

I had an HDD with Windows 95 Installed.I then installed Solaris Intel Version .But after that when i run windows Fdisk.I am not able to create or see the partitions.

Can somebody help me with this.

I had the same problem after I partitioned my hard drive and installed Win98 & Solaris 8. I believe the problem was because the Solaris install writes UNIX files (boot blocks) to the first sectors of the drive. When you try to fdisk or format with Microsoft diskette it will not read that UNIX part (which just happens to be the first part of the disk).
I did however succesfully fdisk my hard drive. I used the maxtor diskette that came with my drive. I recommend you download the bootable diskette from Maxtor or Western Digital for your disk wiping problem.
