Dose anyone know how to install the Realtek 8019 Ethernet adapter in Solaris.I have read that it can work in solaris but all How-to are a bit sketchy. is there a way to get solaris to see/install it during the install of solaris? I'm just wondering before I install? All my other hardware seems compatiable with solaris just this adapter I am unsure of. Thanks alot.

Tod - What version of solaris? ahh, delete reference, I see no mention of realtek even on the solaris 8 Hardware Compatability List. If you go to http://docs.sun.com you'll see a link to all solaris versions, and from tha tyou can go to the Hardware Compatability Lists via the Installation collections. The realtech I have seen uses NEC2000 drivers under linux and claimed to have solaris drivers on the installation disk, but I think they lied - you might have to grab the sco source and compile. "Somebody" - given the standard of the questions asked and the level of understanding shown so far, yes this is definately the newbie in solaris forum. 99% of the posts here are answered in the more established faqs. A good search at sun is your best start point.
