Hi,

I used the solaris interactive mode[1] to install solaris 10 on my PC. everything went okl till it automatically detected my configuration.

It detected my graphics card, graphics driver, monitor, keyboard and mouse.

I pressed enter(to continue)

A line appears stating "Checking for additional network configuration"

At this point the boot process hangs the cursor just blinks. I tried restarting and doing this all over again but the boot process gets stuck at the same place.

Please let me know if there is a solution available.

I have win xp and 98 se installed on my pc
intel 2.4/256 ram

Unfortunatly Solaris supports very less Hardware models , I already experience the same problem, I think you have RTL8130 or other NIC model.

Try 3Com or Intel Express

More NIC model info go thru solaris HCL list

I hope this make sense

Zahid
