Subject: Display Problem after installation!!!
Comment:

sir,

I've installed solaris 8 on Intel 810 chipset.
My system configuration is 128 MB RAM, 20 GB hard disk.
Installation what i've done:

1) First i've inserted Solaris Webstart CD for Installation.
2) After it restarts, I've selected necessary resolution (16 color with panning), Microsoft 3 button serial in COM2, monitor (samsung)...
3) It asked for the Solaris CD1 & CD2 & i've added documentation server with it and ended the installation.
4) after installation it reboots but i'm not able to get the display.
It flickers & that's it it gone for ever.

I'm not able find out whether the problem is in software or the hardware.

Please give me a solution becos i've searched many sites.. for it but i'm not able to find a solution, plz...

with regards,
rajkumar

I think your problem is with VIDEO
card. What VIDEO card you are using.
Solaris intel supports just few video
cards. Use ATI card which is supported.

Or Matrox will not give you problems either - they're good cards.
