I have a SUN Ultra 10 system running on Solaris 8. Last couple of times the system crashed and required fsck to be run on it. I ran fsck successfully and the system had been working fine after that for about 2 weeks but since Feb 13th the following errors have started being reported in the messages file and same on the console screen. Replace drive is a good place to consider. Used to have low level format tools but they are hard to find anymore. Could be controller or cables. Could try install to x86 and run ibm's drive diag or other drive diag.. Just as simple to replace drive. "Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
