Hi,

I wonder if anyone knows the way to backup/restore system (Sun/Solaris 8)with so called Disaster Recovery option. I'd like to have image of the server created and to be able to restore whole system in case of failure, but not just doing in a typical way: install OS, applications, apply backups but to restore whole configured system with all applications and configurations at once.

Thank you all.

A level zero ufsdump to tape will provide you with a copy of the entire file system.
