Comment:

I'm trying to compile cups-1.1.18 on a Solaras 8 sparc machine. I'm using gcc-3.2.2.

./configure goes well, but make ends with the following error:

Archiving libcups.a...
make[1]: crvs: Command not found
make[1]: *** [libcups.a] Error 127
make: *** [all] Error 1

I have absolutely no idea what crvs means and what it has to do with cups. Google hasn't been my friend on this one.

Any help is welcome!

in the makefiles I saw that crvs is mentioned by ARFLAGS..which stands for architecture flags? But why does he wants to execute that?
