I am looking for specific instructions and cable specs to enable me to connect my laptop to my Sunblade 100 via a console cable. Any links or information would be appreciated. I have a db9 to null modem adapter, but I can't seem to be able to do anything through the Hyperterminal on my Windows XP laptop. I am uncertain as to whether I have the right cable and connector.

It is a db9 connector. I just connected to a SB150 through Teraterm on my XP laptop. Maybe the settings are wrong on your hyperterminal.
