Comment:

I have set up solaris 8 on a compaq box but am having trouble configuring netscape. I cannot get it to display any pages. I am trying to connect via a proxy server and have entered the relevant ip address in the proxy setting but getting the error 'the document contained no data, Try again later, or contact the server's administrator'. The network IS operational because PINGING works.

Check to see if the proxy server address is put in the right place. I am assuming that you have netscape 4.76 installed. go to the proxy settings and make sure that it is set under socks host.
