Hi,
Has any one of you configured a just out of box (Cisco or any other) router on a Solaris system.
Normally we configure a just out of box router using a Windows system where the Hyperterminal is connected between the console port of the router and the serial(COM) port of the system.
My curiosity is in finding out how the same thing can be done using a Solaris system and what's the counter part of Hyperterminal on Solaris.

Thanks.

You can do it on solaris.
Simply Telnet on Solaris will do it for you!

If your looking to configure a console port use the admintool and configure either ttya or ttyb as your serial port.
