Changing paths

OS: solaris 8
CPU/Ram: v 120 / 512 MB

I try to add a path for a new program, it all seems to work pretty good i do it with the next sentence

PATH=/usr/newprogram:/opt/newprogram:${PATH}
export PATH

but when i try to acces to the commands it just says that not found. tell me if there is an other way to addi it.

you may add it manually into the /etc/profile and then do . /etc/profile or source /etc/profile
