Comment:

I am trying to boot from cd rom and keep getting these messages:
Can't read disk label
Can't open disk label package
Evaluating: boot cdrom -s

Can't open boot device.
**Here is the boot device:/pci@f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/cdrom@2,0:f file and args: -s

I have my cdrom setup as Primary Slave. (I have 2 hard drives)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

First check that your CD i readable in the actual CD-rom player. If possible try with another OS.

Secondly, it can be that Solaris gets "confused" of the fact that your CD-rom is "in between" your harddrives, this is pure speculation though.
But itīs a good rule to always if possible have your CD-rom as Secondary slave.
Having the harddisks on the same cable will boost harddiskperformance a little bit to, due to the fact that the transferrate of the CD-rom is lower than the one of the harddisks.
