Comment:

Hi,

I have installed Solaris 9 onto my Ultra60 but am unable to ping anything other than the local interface, all of the config files seem to be ok, such as etc/defaultrouter.

Any help would be great. The light on the switch is on also.

Thx in advance.

Are your submasks setup correctly according to your network?

Hi RickF,

Yes the subnets are all ok, the network I am on is 172.25.22.0 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0

The IP of my system is 172.25.22.65 and the default gateway is 172.25.22.1, which is defined in the defaultrouter file.

Thx.

False Alarm guys!!!

Sorry to say that it turned out to be a patch cord after all!!! Weird how the switch light was on though.

Anyway, just wanted to say a big thanks for your help.

Thx.
