I am not been able to log in as when ever i try to it gives me the following error plz tell me the solution from scratch as i m new to it

No utmpx entry. You must exec "login" from the lowest level "shell".

pls give me the detailed information about utmpx ....bcs as per my concern this is the directory for users local system accounting information....once he did login it will be get updated ...but he said that he can not login.....and also give me some details about how can lowest shell >
