Hi all
My PC have 2 hard disks,
- first disk have 2 partitions
- first partition of first disk have win server 2008 installed.
- second partition of first disk is blank (unallocated).
- second disk is blank (unallocated)I boot into SXCE 101 DVD disk with installation option 4: install by text mode (in order to able to use ZFS), when I choose first disk for installation in second partition, installer said something like: first disk is overlaps and you must delete one partition in it.
After that I cannot install SXCE on first disk because I do'nt want to delete first partition in first disk with win 2008 installed.
But if I select the second disk, installation went smoothly and succefullt with above scenario.
So my question is: How can I install SXCE on second partition of first disk?
The reason I want to install SXCE on second partition of first disk because I heard that if I install SXCE on second disk, I will cannot perform live upgrade, right?
I'm very sorry for my bad English.
If you need some more information, please let me know.
thanks and regards,

"I will cannot perform live upgrade, right?"
You missed this comment on the opensolaris forums.
Live upgrade has nothing to do with partition order to my understanding....
Now that I read that I think you are correct. Dunno what I read like that. It was something to do with first partition and solaris.. ??? Now I don't know.
"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
