Cannot get vxvm to execute

I've installed all the pkgs and added the variables to .profile, when I run vxvm from the command line it returns a ?. The install went fine and all the disks in the array were seen, only could not encapsulate drives in controller c0 & c1 not enough space left for swap. I've viewed the 3.0 install guide back and forth, what could I be missing? Please help a fellow sys admin.
