Cannot get an Internet connection

I have just installed a new Sun Blade 2000. I cannot get my internet connection to work. I can telnet to other servers and ping but I cannot get an internet connection?? Any ideas?? I am using this system in an office setting and getting to the internet through a router.. Thanks for any assistance with this problem

Do you have a firewall? Does the router have an access list? When you traceroute to an IP on the internet, like yahoo, where does it stop? Are you trying to use a browser? Can you do an nslookup on www.yahoo.com? Whats your /etc/resolv.conf look like?
