What does the error bus fault mean? I have a sun netra t1 box. I am trying to install an expansion pci scsi host adapter but i Have a problem. Without having the adapter installed I halt the system and go into prom mode and issue a probe-scsi to test the onboard scsi. Well it gives me a bus fault error and it keeps repeating like its in a loop. The scsi drives that are attached to this onboard scsi work fine yet I get this error. What is the problem? Is it a termination problem or something actaully wrong with the onboard bus?

If you power off the unit then power on and do a STOP-A. This brings you to a command prompt where you can issue the probe-scsi-all command. This should run normal now. If it doesn't run normal you may want to check all the extra pci boards to make sure they are seated properly and then run the probe-scsi-all again. If this is still not working it is most likely a problem with the motherboard and it needs replaced.
Summary: When I run a probe-scsi from the prom monitor, I always receive an infinitely repeating reply of bus fault. Can anyone tell me what this means, or how I may go about fixing it? Thanks. ...
