Comment:

When I run a probe-scsi from the prom
monitor, I always receive an infinitely
repeating reply of bus fault. Can anyone
tell me what this means, or how I may go
about fixing it? Thanks.

Hi Brandon,

Try disconnecing all the devices connected to the scsi bus and do a probe then.

If you still get a fault, it may be that the scsi controller is knacked.

What sort of Sun is it?

Regards,

Paul

seems to be the way it works if u ask me
you can try

I usually reboot
ctrl a

then scsi-probe

You might want to try typing:

reset

from the prom prompt, then get back to the prompt and then do probe-scsi

That should work.
