HI!
I have installed the last Solaris 8 recommended Patch-Cluster. The installation on my SUN Blade 150 takes a long time, and I had problems at the Patch with the ID 108528-29. This patch needed more than 5 hours and so i stopped the installation and continue in the patchlist. Now, if I boot the workstation it falls to the OK prompt. Clear, the Kernel is defekt.
Now my question: Can I boot with a solaris-rescue CD or something like this and how could I repair the system??

Boot the machine from the ok prompt using " boot -a " .
And then give /dev/null instead of /etc/system . It will boot the machine.
( or )
Boot the machine using solaris installation cd .Mount the / filesytem and rename /etc/system file to /etc/system.old and copy the system file from the installation cd to /etc filesystem on the machine .And reboot the machine .
