OS: solaris 8
CPU/Ram: ultra60SparcII 450
Comment:

I would like to reinstall solaris8 on my machine
probe-scsi detect my sun cdrom.
WHen I try : boot cdrom
the message :
Can't open boot device appear.
of course the solaris8 installation cd is in the cdrom.
I think cdrom device is not assigned to the machine.
but how to do that ?

make sure the scsi cdrom is assigned a SCSI address of 6. cdrom is an alias for ID 6.
