Comment:

I have an Ultra 2 with Solaris 2.6 (5/98)
installed. I create CD's using a Ricoh Media
Master MP7060SE and CDR Publisher 4.85 as the
unit platform supporting software.

My intent is to create a bootable CD using the
above support environment.

My prolem is that the CD will not boot with a
:ok boot cdrom. I receive the following message:
boot device:
/sbus/SUNW,fas@e,8800000,sd@6,0:f
Bad Magic Number in Disk Label
Can't open disk label package
Evaluating: boot cdrom
can't open boot device

It appears that I'm not writing a label to sector
0, and or, the bootblk is not accessable.

Is there a way to determine the CD layout and
what I've written to these sectors?

Is there a way to ensure that I'm creating a
bootable CD using the equipment described above,
or via general method for recording a bootable CD.

Thank you!

David Glenn
