I am trying to apply 108528-23 SunOS 5.8 patch. In the patch installation instructions it is mentioned as "Reconfigure immediately after patch is installed ". What does it mean?
Does it mean reboot with "boot -- -r" after the patch installation?
In other statement it is mentioned as
Patches which conflict with this patch: 109079-01 (or newer).
We have this patch installed. How to deal with conflicting patch, if it is already applied?

you don not need to reboot with -r option with init 6 is sufficient remember this is the kernel patch install this in single user mode, to check if you have the patch 109079-01 installed use this command showrev -p | grep 109079

if you have this patch installed remove it with patchrm 109079-01.
