Will Sun Solaris 10 operating system run on a system based on AMD Athlon XP 1800+ processor build on socket 462 (A) Mercury KOB 266 FDMx motherboard with 512 MB of DDR RAM

I think so. I have a test one that is about that.
Try the developers preview. It is a slim cd and boots to a live cd that you can install.
The normal Sun install is a large dvd or a bunch of cd's.
Either way it is a good OS. You will have a learning curve. Most people find they have to get a NIC card. I bought a $4 card that had a realtek chip on it. Most of the cheapest cards use the most supported chip.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
