Pl let me know the tool to check the temparature of Sun Fire V60x servers at our data warehouse.
Tried with /usr/platform/`uname -m`/sbin/prtdiag -v and end up with no output.
Sun Fire's architecture is Intel based one.
After typng echo `uname -m`, it is find as i86pc.
The above mentioned tool works only on Sparc architecture. Sun Fire servers can support Linux,X86 Solaris etc.
Even the man page for prtdiag (on Sun Fire V60x server), it is mentioned as the above comand will support only Sparc architecture (sun 4u/sun 4m).
Collected some information from some other forum.
Trying to communicate with Sun.
Meanwhile any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Have you tried Sun Control Station software package or LOM? I believe you can also use openview.
Since these are relatively new products, maybe you could get warranty-based software help by calling 1-800-USA4SUN.
Be nice to one another, okay?
