Hi, I got a strange problem when installing Solaris 8 on my PC. I booted and installed the system from CD, but it just acted as there is no floppy drive on my computer, either in the installation phase and the normal running mode.
When I try to let the system to access the floppy, the drive will not move at all.

as far as i know it may be a simple problem, first check the connections with the floppy drive, second run #volcheck third run #ls /floppy/floppy0/*.* this is clue because i am succes with this.
Summary: I need a boot floppy for Solaris 7 or 2.6 for a SparcStation 10. All the postings about this lead to a DCA disk for Intel platform, and I need Sparc. Any Ideas. Thanks ...
