Hello,

Does someone know the use of the "ZoneMap\Domains" keys in registry, for exemple in "Workstation\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains"?

In my home computer, they are filled with hundreds of strange domain names (supposedly porn sites, though I never enter this kind of sites) but in my work computer they are completely empty.

At the same time, but I'll start a new thread for that, I have a problem at home with unwanted popups for security scan sites.

I run AVG 7.1, Kerio Firewall, Windows Defender and also daily scans with SpybotS&D which everytime finds tons of cookies from porn sites also ( and I repeat that I never step in these sites ).

Thanks a lot for any answer/advice/clue that could avoid a HDD reformat.

ZoneMap\Domains is part of Spybot's
protection.

And the infection you have lowered or changed
IE security settings. You may need special
removal tools and advice from jabuck for
safe removal.

A HDD reformat should not be needed.

While you wait, you can try
SuperAntispyware
