On Zone Alarm Pro, the question "Do you want Windows Explorer to access the internet?" What is the right answer for this? My internoid mind would says "Hell No!" but I have recently noticed that my Internet Explorer browser does not want to connect to the internet when I select "No". Any ideas on what may have happened or how to fix this? Should I have any legit reason to be worried about Windows Explorer accessing the internet through Zone Alarm? Thanks in advance

My inquiring mind would like to know the answer to this question, also. When I've disabled Windows Explorer, I haven't noticed anything wrong, functionally, with accessing the Internet or surfing, whatsoever. But, boy, it sure doesn't like being told no. The pop up window must have come up about every two seconds, for about 10 times, before I finally told ZA to stop allowing the pop alerts.

Do you want Window Explorer to access the internet?.....NO!!!! It should never access the internet, so in the panel do not allow it server priviliges, check mark it so that it doesn't allow any priviliges or anything to that effect. Old Murve

Be aware that there are viruses/trojans that infect Explorer. If Explorer is asking to access the Net, fire up that virus scan with updated definitions.
