Zone Alarm Stops Loading At Startup

My Zone Alarm has stopped loading when I start my computer. I have checked MSCONFIG and it is in the startup list. I have run 4 anti-spyware programs (found nothing) I have run AVG, Avast, and ewido and they've found nothing but tracking cookies which I have removed. I suspect a virus or spyware is blocking the startup of Zone Alarm. How can I find out what it is?

No, the Zone Alarm icon isn't next to the clock until I manually load it.

I would uninstall it and try a new installation after I made sure it is the latest updated version, check for it by using the manual check for updates feature. You might try the scan at Kaspersky, or house call at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

You know, tried that zonealarm suite recently and i think generally its good. But its layout to me seems very unorganized and i had to keep enabling some things. From what i've read it might have some bugs in it.Sounds like that might be happening to you.Check your settings in zonealarm to see if launch at startup is enabled. If not, enable and reboot. If it doesn't start, then i bet if you check that setting again it has disabled itself. The other day a zonealarm user posted that it had let a nasty through.

Have you tried disabling all the programs in your Startup in msconfig that are safe to disable and only leaving Zone Alarm by itself and see if it loads then?
