Can someone shed some light on why ZApro keeps asking me whether I want to allow IE access to the net, it's like it doesn't remember which programs I have given permission to. Any help greatly appreciated

If you are using zap, you have to give applications permission, or to deny, them access to the internet, or to give them server access rights. From my experience with zap, and za, very few applications should have internet and server rights.
Internet explorer should be allowed internet rights for how else can you get on the internet? Windows explorer should not be granted any rights etc. You will have to decide which ones.

The next time the window pops up to ask you again, checked the box to allow IE to access the net permanently.

I think Andrew is experiencing the same problem I am. ZA won't retain the permissions list. Usually after I reboot the list is empty. I must re-teach ZA all over again. It doesn't matter if I have granted temp or perm status. The whole list is gone. It's very frustrating!!

Kelly,

Has anyone answered you on what to do about having to "reteach" ZA every time?? I too, am so sick of this happening to me, I am ready to call it quits with Zone Alarm Pro.

Please, anyone who can help us with this problem (see Kelly's email above), would be appreciated.

Kathy
