I downloaded Zone Alarm for better firewall protection. It allows everything needed to access the internet except my internet explorer. It has been set to allow internet explorer, but it only works when my computer starts up. After being on for about a half hour, Zone Alarm stops my internet explorer from working. Can anyone help?

I would say uninstall ZA and try Comodo Pro:

Doesn't have all the issues ZA has and Comodo works great!

I would say that you need to check your configurations. I have been using ZA Pro for years, and now have their Security Suite and have never had that problem.
