If anyone knows anything about the zonealarm firewall and any issues with error messages when trying to install it, please help. I downloaded ZA Security Suite and installed it. After having it installed I had a problem with the TrueVector service not loading so the ZA icon in the system tray had an X on it.

So I wound up uninstalling it and then went to reinstall it. When I tried to reinstall it I got the following error message:
"vsmon.exe - Ordinal NOt Found

The ordinal 350 could not be located in the dynamic link library ssleay32.dll"

If anyone knows what is causing that, please help.

You can go to this site and do a search. They specialize in ZoneAlarm, but they don't work for ZoneAlarm. They are volunteers who know a lot about these things.

You'll find the search feature at the bottom of this page. You can also join and then you can post your own questions.

Sorry I can't help you more, but you will want to bookmark this site as you will probably need it sooner or later to get answers to questions that might arise. You will also be able to find this site in your ZoneAlarm HELP menu once you get ZoneAlarm installed.

I'm not ignorant, I just need more learning!

As a rule this means that something the Uninstall program was *supposed* to remove wasn't and the installer failed to overwrite the file. use their manual uninstall instead:
